Det var när Ljudvägg släppte sitt album Transformation 2021 som de båda möttes inför en livespelning där de skulle dela scen. Resultatet blev omarbetade versioner av Ljudväggs låtar och starten på ett nytt samarbete som både utmanar och lyfter upp de bådas musikaliska referenser. Linnea Hall har i många år varit aktiv i Malmös indiescen inom pop och punk. Ljudvägg har genom åren varit verksam inom stadens vibranta elektronikascen men valde att fördjupa sig i pianots möjligheter.
Om Árstraumur:
Árstraumur är visionen för producenten, kompositören och artisten David Elfström Lilja, född i Söderhamn och sedan 2023 baserad i Gävle. Under detta alias skapar han instrumental elektronisk musik bortom genre och tid… en strävan som började med stycken som ursprungligen komponerades för att vägleda honom in i sömnen och som idag fungerar som en form av terapi, ett sätt att koppla bort sig från vardagen och allt utanför.
Albumet Aurora är det senaste Árstraumur-albumet och representerar en betydande konstnärlig milstolpe i projektets pågående utveckling. Albumet röstades fram till bästa album 2025 av Cyclical Magazine och nominerades till årets ambientalbum vid Schallwelle Award.
Utöver Árstraumur arbetar David under flera pseudonymer, framför allt som Moist, ett projekt för popinfluerad elektronika. Hans mångsidighet återspeglas i officiella remixer för bland annat Pet Shop Boys (Storbritannien), Red Snapper (Storbritannien) och Lustans Lakejer (Sverige), medan hans egna kompositioner har omtolkats av ikoner som Tangerine Dreams (Tyskland), Kebu (Finland) och The Beloved (Storbritannien). Han har också skrivit en låt tillsammans med Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode/Yazoo/Erasure) för Árstraumurs senaste album Aurora, vilket markerar ytterligare ett samarbete med en välkänd elektronisk musikartist.

About Ljudvägg & Hall:
It was when Ljudvägg released his album Transformation in 2021 that they both met before a live performance where they were to share the stage. The result was reworked versions of Ljudvägg’s songs and the start of a new collaboration that both challenges and elevates the musical references of both. Linnea Hall has for many years been active in Malmö’s pop and punk indie scene. Over the years, Ljudvägg has been active within the city’s vibrant electronica scene, but chose to delve into the possibilities of the piano.

The vision… Árstraumur is the vision of producer, composer, and artist David Elfström Lilja, born in Söderhamn and based in Gävle since 2023.
Under this moniker, he creates instrumental electronic music beyond genre and time… en endeavor that began with pieces originally composed to guide him into sleep and which today serves as a form of therapy, a way to disconnect from everyday life and everything outside.
The album… Aurora is the most recent Árstraumur album and represents a significant artistic milestone in the project’s ongoing evolution. The album was voted Best Album of 2025 by Cyclical Magazine and shortlisted for Ambient Album of the Year at the Schallwelle Award.
The pseudonyms… Beyond Árstraumur, David works under several pseudonyms, most notably as Moist , his outlet for pop-forward electronica. His versatility is reflected in official remixes for Pet Shop Boys (UK), Red Snapper (UK) and Lustans Lakejer (SWE) among others, while his own compositions have been reimagined by icons such as Tangerine Dreams (DE), Kebu (FI), and The Beloved (UK). He has also co-written a track with Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode/Yazoo/Erasure) for Árstraumur’s latest album Aurora, marking another collaboration with a renowned electronic music artist.
