SEED-X Vol. 3 is the third and final album in the album trilogy SEED-X and will be released on April 21st 2023.
But first, on February 24th the first single and teaser Lille will be released.
– Lille is a deep personal song for me, and is in many ways a tribute to love. I wrote it for Dorran Alibaud on cello, and me on piano, during the pandemic. I think Dorran plays absolutely fantastic, and I’m incredibly happy that he wanted to participate on the album. This was an obvious first single from the album for me, and I hope the audience likes it, says SkarWorX.
SEED-X Vol.3 marks the end of the ambitious and cross-genre album trilogy by SkarWorX. The music is cinematic, electronic and organic with clear inspiration from fellow pianists such as Òlafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm and Yann Tiersen. The music is released on the Swedish label Lamour Records.
Behind the music we find the Norwegian pianist and producer SkarWorX, who is best known for his work with the band Highasakite, of which he was a part from 2011 to 2017. The band released three albums during this period, two of which sold several times platinum. Furthermore, in the same period, the band won Norwegian grammy awards, headlined the Øya Festival and sold out Oslo Spektrum. Since 2017, SkarWorX has also been successful with the band LÖV, which among other things guested both Senkveld on Norwegian national TV and Christine live på NRK on Norwegian national radio in 2020.

“Lille is a soothing and contemplative instrumental track that blends gentle acoustic guitar and atmospheric electronic elements. The opening guitar melody is delicate and introspective, setting the mood for the piece. As the track progresses, the electronic elements begin to build, adding a sense of depth and complexity to the sound. One of the strengths of Lille is its use of layering and contrast. The different elements of the track are blended together seamlessly, creating a rich and cohesive sound. At the same time, there is enough contrast between the various parts to keep the listener engaged and interested.”

“Fresh from appearing as a guest musician in the Eberson jazz-rock band performance in Oslo last weekend (there is a review in this publication), skittering across his synthesiser keys at a speed that would get him arrested by the politiet if he was driving like that along Henrik Ibsen’s Gate in downtown Oslo, he turns his hand to gentler stuff in the form of the first single/track from his third EP, and a song that has a surprisingly acoustic flavour.”
