KET-web
KET – audiovisual performance
Thomas Bjelkeborn music & livevideo
Koray Tahiroglu music

KET is one of the world’s oldest spoken languages. Through a song about the life in Siberia a new audiovisual language is created in the form of an artwork with the same name.
The current artistic work of Thomas Bjelkeborn Sweden and Koray Tahiroglu Finland is at the forefront of contemporary artistic-technical development and this project is conceived as a meeting between the oldest and the hypermodern.
The work involves music and video created live from images and sounds of an old women singing on the language KET. Her singing has been evolved into a contemporary audiovisual performance. Both Thomas and Koray are involved in development of new ways for human interfaced computer aided interaction for live performance. KET will display their ongoing artistic and technical research in this field.
The research and artistic work is done at Studio84/Fylkingen/Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm and at SOPI, Department of Media, Aalto University School of Arts, Finland. The work is supported by Lamour, SOPI, The Swedish Arts Council, Helge Ax:son Jonson and Studio84.

AKB (Anna-Karin Berglund)
