Singular’s eyes turn north with the release of the majestic two-tracker Norr. Following up on the relentlessly energetic Öst, released on Lamour in November 2022, the Malmö based collective dials down the heat a notch or two.
Norr features bouncy, transmuting beats awash with melancholic harmonies and elusive hints and sweeping swaths of acoustic piano. In Nordost Singular deconstructs the title track to create an ethereal yet menacing melodic meditation.
